NAB arrests ex-DHA City project director in Rs 16b land scam

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested former project director of DHA City for his alleged involvement in Rs 16 billion land scam.

According to NAB spokesman, Brig (r) Khalid Nazir Butt has been arrested for his alleged involvement in scam, while inquiry against Hamad Arshad, owner of GLOBACO (Pvt) Ltd Management of LANDCO Subsidiary of DHA Lahore and others is underway. The accused signed a lopsided Joint Venture agreement with Gloabco, which was discriminatory in nature and was entirely disadvantageous to the DHA causing huge loss to the authority.
