Customs Tribunal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza moves to Lahore

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti returned to Lahore after chairing tribunal proceedings and holding hearing of over a dozen cases at Islamabad office here on Monday.

During his stay in Islamabad, the chairman held meeting with staffers and heard cases in single and division bench.

Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti chaired a division bench along with Technical Member Muhammad Nasir Khan. The division bench heard around eight cases filed against field offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Appellant, Mian Jee & Co had filed a petition against Model Customs Collectorate, Islamabad.

M/S Waseem Autos, M/S Nisar Traders, M/S Parts & Parts, M/S Chief Autos, M/S Aman Elahi & Co, and M/S Khinorr traders had filed cases against Directorate of Intelligence & investigation, Islamabad (DGI&I).

The chairman also heard cases filed by appellant Muhammad Akram, M/S Ghani Glass, Fazlur Rehman, Fazal Raza & Others, Aftab Ahmed, United Wings Trading, Saeed Ullah, SMI Traders, Zubair Ahmed, Degi Cell & others, M/S Mobo International and Astan Food Industries Limited.

The chairman returned to Lahore after with ending office hours at Islamabad office and directed the staff concerned to deliver necessary files to Lahore for the purpose of examination.
