Customs Preventive seizes smuggled goods worth Rs 4 million

LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling Organization of Custom Collectorate (Preventive) Lahore has seized 123 non-duty paid LED TVs and two split A/C loaded on truck No LEI-14-4596. The value of the seized goods is more than Rs 4,000,000. The goods were seized on the  directions of Dr Muhammad Adnan Khan, Assistant Collector.

Meanwhile, the Customs I&P Lahore Customs Preventive has lodged an FIR against the elements involved in smuggling of 278 cartons of cigarettes, 8,450 kilogram parachute cloth and 7,100 kilogram polyester cloth, 71 tyres and 48 used sewing machines.

The Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) Lahore had intercepted 2 suspicious trucks No.K-8056 (Peshawar) and TKS-099 Quetta. and handed over the trucks to anti smuggling organization of Model Custom Collectorate (Preventive) Lahore.

Official sources told that the value of seized goods is more than Rs 22 million and FIR has been lodged against culprits while further investigations are underway.
