Collector Agha Jawwad calls meeting to review Collectorate’s performance

KARACHI: The Collector Customs Collectorate  Appraisement (West) Dr Owais Agha Jawwad has called a meeting of the officers in order to review the Collectorate’s performance.

Sources informed Customs Today that the additional collectors, deputy collectors and assistant collectors had attended the meeting at the office of the Collector.

During the meeting, the Collector Appraisement (West) emphasized for achieving the revenue targets by the end of the third quarters of the current fiscal year.

The Collector  Appraisement (West) also stressed upon to take effective actions against the mis-declaration, tax evasion and under-invocing and also directed the authorities concerned to take up the court cases which are in pending in different courts.

The Collector Dr Owais Agha Jawwad also asked the authorities concerned to ensure recovery of stranded national exchequer so that the revenue generation could be enhanced.

The sources further informed that the Collector Appraisement (West) also directed the officers of the Collectorate that the genuine grievances of the importers would be resolved within 24-hours adding that the strict action would be taken against unscrupulous elements who damaging the national exchequer through mal-practicing and other unfair means.
