Sialkot RTO arranges seminars, meetings to make VTCS successful

SIALKOT: The Regional Tax Office has arranged seminars and several meetings with the local business community and various stakeholders to apprise them of the benefits of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS).

The Sialkot RTO also arranged a mega event relating to this scheme in Hilton City Hall, in which representatives of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, local trade bodies, tax bar associations and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry also attended the event.

Additional CIR and focal person for VTCS Tahseen Sadiq Tarar arranged the event, which was presided over by Chief Commissioner Syed Imran Raza Kazami. In his welcome address, Deputy Commissioner Sultan Muhammad Nawaz Nasir gave briefing about the advantages of the scheme. All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran Secretary General Naeem Mir, Narowal Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajiran Secretary General Dr Muhammad Tariq Upal, Gujrat Merchant Association President Sh Naseer Ahmed, Gujrat Tax Bar Association President Khurram Toufique Malik, Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry President  Mian Ejaz Ahmed, Sialkot Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajiran President Mehar Ghulam Mujtaba, Sialkot Tax Bar Association President Abdul Qayyum and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry Vice President Syed Ihtesham Gillani also addressed on the occasion.

The chief commissioner not only apprised the participants of the salient features of the scheme but also offered every legal assistance/facilitation to the taxpayers. Commissioner Ahmad Shuja Khan gave answers to participants in question session. All speakers expressed their commitment to make the scheme successful.

Meanwhile, Chief Commissioner Syed Imran Raza Kazami also visited all adjacent areas of his RTO and met with various trader associations, chambers of commerce & industry and tax bar associations.
