SIALKOT: Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) Chairman Khawar Anwar Khawaja has lauded the government for giving zero rated tax regime on sales tax for the export sector.
He said that this decision will reduce financial burden on exporters while eliminating the practice of corruption in the refund claims. He said the export sector should also get relief under the head of other taxes and input costs to revive exports. He said the government should ensure the refund as soon as possible and also take a serious measures to protect the industrialists and exporters as they are facing hardships by daily incidents of dacoits and robberies.
He said Sialkot is export oriented city, government should give preference for the improvement of export and protection of business community in the city.
