FAISALABAD: Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed has heard four cases against suspected smugglers who were involved in smuggling of foreign origin cloth, Nissan truck foreign origin generator and a Hino oil tanker.
As per details, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation filed separate cases against the accused for smuggling non-duty paid vehicles and goods.
Sources told Customs Today that M/s Ahsan Traders was allegedly involved in smuggling of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 0.43 million, while Muhammad Azam was found involved in evading duty/taxes worth Rs 4.91 million and Nissan truck was brought into the country without payments of customs duty. The last case was heard against the accused person who was involved in smuggling foreign origin generator without paying Rs 3.17 million of customs duty.
All these four cases were forwarded by Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.
