RTOs collecting details of Danish Schools, Ilm-o-Hunar and LWMC for audit

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I&II (RTO-I&II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started collecting details of Danish Schools and Center of Excellence, Ilm-o-Hunar Foundation Township and Lahore Waste Management Company for audit.

On the directions of the FBR, the RTOs are collecting all details of these organizations for conducting audit. Officials said that some governmental independent organizations also fell in the list.

Sources said that the audit is being conducted following suspicions that these organizations might be earning profits in guise of tax exemptions certificates.

The RTOs also issued notices to selected organizations, stating that if any non-profit organization found earning profit, their tax exemptions certificates will be cancelled, they said.
