LAHORE: The Customs Court has adjourned the hearing of pre-arrest bail plea of Haseeb Waqas director of Haseeb Waqas Sugar Mills.
On Wednesday the Special Federal Court adjourned bail plea of Haseeb Waqas, one of the directors of Haseeb Waqas Sugar Mills who is allegedly involved in tax evasion in millions of rupees.
It is pertinent to mention here that other directors of Haseeb Waqas Sugar Mills are on pre arrest bail as court had accepted their pleas which includes Raza Mustafa and Zia Mustafa.
Earlier in September 2015, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had taken action against the owners and directors of Haseeb Waqas Sugar Mills for evading more than Rs 1 billion tax.
The accused filed a plea in Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling for pre-arrest bail in tax evasion case. Earlier, Hafiz Irfan Butt, another director of the company, obtained pre-arrest bail but his bail was cancelled by the Special Federal Court but he approached to Lahore High Court and got the bail.
