Malaysian police seize 414,000 Yaba pills

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 414,000 Yaba pills were seized following a raid in Rantau Panjang, Kelantan, said Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

The Inspector-General of Police tweeted that 14 people, including five Thai nationals, were detained in the raid by Bukit Aman’s Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (STING) on Monday.

“Congratulations to STING and the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) for the success in nabbing the 14 suspects and seizing the drugs.

“Go PDRM go,” he tweeted here the other day.

The NCID, especially STING, has been aggressive in the war against the drug menace.

Last year alone, the department nabbed 182,787 people and seized a total of RM238.87mil in drugs. Among those arrested were 22 drug lords.
