Appraisement-East generates Rs 20.592b in Feb 2016

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East has collected Rs 20.592 billion under the head of duty/taxes during February of the current fiscal year.

According to the statistics available with Customs Today, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 7.048 billion under the head of customs duty, Rs 10.264 billion under the head of sales tax, Rs 3.22 billion as income tax and Rs 60 million under head of federal excise duty during the said period.

Significantly, it collected Rs 1.286 million on the last working day of February 2016 i.e. February 29 that include Rs 462 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 612 million under head of sales tax, Rs 207 million as income tax and Rs 5 million under the head of federal excise duty.

At all, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 195, 410 million since August 1 to February 29, 2016 that includes Rs 61,672 million under head of customs duty; Rs 100,603 million as sales tax; Rs 32,213 million as income tax and Rs 922 million under head of federal excise duty.
