Azeri oil shipment from Ceyhan by late Feb falls

BAKU: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced the latest statistical data on Azeri oil export via main export pipeline Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev: shipment of oil from Ceyhan fell by 16% in February against January 2016.

SOCAR informs that it was shipped 2.387 million tons of Azeri oil from the Turkish port of Ceyhan in February against 2.848 million tons in January. This February 1.3 million tons of overall shipping accounted for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) against 1.5 million tons in January. Over Jan-Feb it was shipped 5.235 million tons of Azeri oil from Ceyhan and 2.85 million tons accounted for SOFAZ.

From the very start of transshipment to 1 March 2016 the overall shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan reached 296.429 million tons. In 2015 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan reached 29.079 million tons. Shipment in SOFAZ interests was estimated at 18.546 million tons.
