Faisalabad Customs Adjudication settles 28 cases involving Rs 21m in Feb

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication settled 28 cases involving Rs 21.21 million during February of current fiscal year.

The adjudication announced 27 Orders-in-Original (ONOs) in favour of the Faisalabad Customs, Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Customs Intelligence and Investigation, while one case was decided in the favour of the accused person.

It heard cases of smuggled cloth, vehicles, black tea, diesel, generator, and other items during the said period. All these items were confiscated by the Customs during different actions, as the owners failed to produce documents showing legal import of the items.

Customs Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed decided one cases involving Rs 3.490 millions, while Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan settled five cases involving Rs 10.6 million. Meanwhile, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed decided 22 cases involving Rs 7.120 million.
