ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II has dismissed a case filed against Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation, Islamabad.
The case was filed by Lalzad and had prayed the tribunal to set aside director general customs intelligence and investigation decision to confiscate his cut and weld vehicle.
Customs Appellate Tribunal-Bench-II, Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Akhan heard the case and dismissed it after examining report.
The department had submitted a report mentioning that vehicle was confiscated on concrete grounds. The vehicle was cut-and-weld; and was being transferred in violation of law. Sale and purchase of such vehicle was prohibited under prevailing law, DGI&I reported stated.
