Sialkot Excise seals 200 commercial properties

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has tightened its noose on the tax defaulters, as it has sealed 200 commercial and residential properties in Gujranwala Division on non-payment of taxes.

The department sealed properties in Gujranwala division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

Gujranwala Excise Director Rao Shakeel Ur Rehman told that the owners of the said 200 sealed buildings had not been paying taxes since long.

He added that the special checking teams also created the pickets at all the in and out ways in Gujranwala and checked as many as 400 vehicles out of which 120 vehicles of different kinds were impounded due to non-payment of token tax.
