Faisalabad Excise impounds 290 token tax defaulter cars, 1175 cases registered

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 290 vehicles for not paying token tax in November.

The department has also seized documents of 885 unregistered vehicles in an operation.

During November, cases have been registered against 1,175 owners of unregistered and token tax defaulter vehicles.

Sources revealed that the operation has been conducted on the orders of Excise Director Rana Intikhab. During the operation, as many as 13000 vehicles were inspected in the four districts of Faisalabad Division.

An excise official told Customs Today that approximately Rs 4.1 million could be collected from the owners of unregistered and token tax defaulter vehicles.
