Multan RTO collects Rs 6.58b against set target of Rs 6.56b in February

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office of the Federal Board of Revenue surpassed the revenue collection target during the month of February.

The Regional Tax Office Multan has collected Rs 6.58 billion revenue against the assigned target of Rs 6.56 billion during the month of February in the on-going economic year.

The Regional Tax Office Multan has collected Rs 3.84 billion sales tax against the collection target of Rs.3.16 billion throughout the month of the February. The Federal Board of Revenue has achieved excess collection in wake of sales tax by almost 121 percent. The board collected income tax amounting to Rs 2.67 billion against the set target of Rs 3.34 billion in February.

The RTO Multan collected federal excise duty of Rs 70 million against the target of Rs 50 million during February. The Regional Tax Office Multan attained the revenue target due to effective tax collection measures from the FBR.

The Federal Board of Revenue is expecting further boost in the revenue tax collection due to massive awareness campaign which has been launched to educate the taxpayers.
