Faisalabad Customs seizes smuggled items worth Rs 28.8m in February

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has foiled almost 15 attempts of smuggling and seized illicit items worth Rs 28.8 million involving Rs 20.51 million duty and taxes in February 2016.

As per details, the Customs Intelligence impounded five vehicles worth Rs 5.3 million and various contraband items, including auto parts worth Rs 1.48 million, non customs paid Toyota car worth Rs 1.20 million, smuggled generator worth Rs 4.16 million, dyed black shake knitted jersey fabrics worth 0.60 million, foreign origin cloth worth Rs 0.62 million, non customs paid Hino truck worth Rs 2.40 million, Indian polyester worth Rs 7.2 million, 1,000 kg of smuggled red chilies seeds and other miscellaneous smuggled goods.
