FBR Chairman Nisar for taking hard steps against non-taxpayers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Nisar Muhmmad Khan has directed the officials to launch a campaign against non-taxpayers by making strict policies in order to bring them into tax net and to expedite the tax recovery process

He stated this during his visit to Rawalpindi RTO along with Inland Revenue (IR) Operations Member Dr Muhammad Irshad. The chairman and member also held a meeting with Rawalpindi RTO Chief Commissioner Tanveer Akhtar, commissioners, additional commissioners, deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners and IR officers and reviewed the tax collection performance, besides discussing the response showed by traders regarding tax amnesty scheme.

In order to get the desired results, Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Nisar Muhmmad Khan has directed the high ups of Regional Tax Office (RTO), Rawalpindi to make the awareness campaign of tax amnesty scheme more effective.

During the meeting, the RTO officials presented their suggestions to broaden the tax net.
