ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate would likely to file an appeal in Supreme Court against Sindh High Court’s (SHC) decision for removing the name of model Ayyan Ali from exit control list (ECL) on coming Monday or Tuesday.

The SHC had ordered to remove the name of model, which was implemented within 10 days. The Islmabad Customs after the judgment wrote a letter to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) seeking guidance in the case on which the board allowed the customs to challenge the decision in SC.

Customs Member Nasir Masroor informed the Islamabad Customs Collector Subuctagaen regarding the decision. The collector, later, directed the Investigation and Prosecution Assistant Collector Tahir Iqbal Khattak to prepare an appeal.

In the appeal, the jurisdiction of SHC would be challenged stating that it has not any authority to hear the case pertaining to remove the name of model from ECL.
