Customs Intelligence seizes goods, vehicles of Rs.394.73m during 2015‏

MULTAN:  Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR Range Office Multan has seized smuggled goods and vehicles of worth Rs 394.73 million in anti-smuggling activities during the year 2015.

Additional Director Nisar Ahmad told Customs Today that Customs Intelligence impounded 70 vehicles of different models and designs worth Rs 98.80 million during the whole 2015 year.

Nisar Ahmad informed that the Customs has detected 148 cases in anti-smuggling campaign in 2015. He said that the performance of the Customs Intelligence was improved due to increased intelligence system of the Customs in the region against smugglers and their movements on certain routes.

Customs have formed 40 seizure cases of various smuggling items and vehicles of Rs 111.006 million up to March during 2016 year. He said 27 various vehicles were seized during third quarter of March. Customs Intelligence shown exceptional performance under the supervision of Additional Director Nisar Ahmad.
