Three IHC divisional benches to hear 15 tax references today

ISLAMABAD: The three division benches of the Islamabad High Court would hear sales and income tax references on Thursday (today) in which Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) was made a party.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah would hear a sales tax reference, 7/2013, filed by M/s Capgas. The company had challenged an ATIR decision pertaining to the charging of sales tax. The same bench would also hear six income tax appeals filed by M/s Telenor Pakistan (Private) Limited against the ATIR.

Another division bench, comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayan would hear income tax references filed against ATIR by Muhammad Asif and M/s Infertility Services (Private) Limited.

Meanwhile, Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb would go on hearing another six income tax references filed by MND Exploration and Production Limited.

In sum, IHC would hear 15 tax references against challenging ATIR’s decision pertaining to income and sales tax.
