Faisalabad Customs generates Rs 0.32m from seized goods sale

FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate earned Rs 0.32 million through auction of seized smuggled items which were confiscated during raids by Anti smuggling Organization (ASO).

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate held an auction of as many as 94 miscellaneous items and presented eight vehicles for open bid where only two lots out of 94 attracted suitable bid. While the remaining others lots were rejected by the bidders.

Sources said that the Customs Collectorate sold a lot No. 38/2015-16 comprising pieces of AC, DC adopter, electronic cable, grander, mega phone, head phone, head speakers and drill grander items against Rs 0.10 million. The Customs Collectorate also sold lot No. 110/2015-16 comprised of lifting pallet truck, LCE project, H/O drill, grinder against Rs 0.22 million.
