Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled items worth Rs 7.022m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized smuggled items worth Rs 7.022 million during the first three weeks of the current month and registered seven cases.

Sources informed Customs Today that the ASO authorities seized various smuggled items such as Indian tea, tyres and foreign origin spare parts. Sources said that Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair also successfully impounded three non-duty paid vehicles during various crackdowns.

Sources said that all the accused accused persons failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of these items. The Faisalabad Anti smuggling organization (ASO) team seized the articles and registered separate cases of smuggling against accused persons. Collector Faisalabad Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry hailed the performance of ASO for curbing smuggling activities.
