Gwadar Customs recovers huge quantity of smuggled cloth, cosmetics

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Gwadar authorities recovered a huge quantity of smuggled cloth, cigarettes, batteries and cosmetics  during a crackdown.

Sources of Customs Today informed that Collector Syed Tanveer Ahmad received information about some smuggling attempts. He constituted a team of the Ant-Smuggling Organization (ASO) which intercepted various buses and cars for checking. During the checking process, the ASO team recovered a huge quantity of smuggled cloth, cigarettes, small vehicles batteries and 200 dandas of smuggled cigarettes. The market value of the seized items is Rs 3 million.
