“The USD 76 million project envisions to set up a 150 TPD Chlor Alkali / Caustic Chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), UAE, which will produce caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives such as Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrochloric Acid,” the statement said.

The contract is a breakthrough project for Nuberg as it is the only Indian company spearheading the EPC industry on global front for turnkey project engineering services and solutions, it said. The awarded project will use the highly sought after modern bipolar membrane cell technology due to its sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental considerations.

Nuberg is the biggest EPC company in UAE for Chlor alkali industry and has worked with companies like Al Ghaith Industries (Abu Dhabi), Union Chlorine (Abu Dhabi) and Gulf Chlorine (Qatar), among others, it said.

“We are delighted to have Nuberg on board… Nuberg will definitely add value to our endeavour with its excellent turnkey project engineering capabilities and quality services coupled with highly competitive costs,” Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) CEO Louai Kasem said.

“This contract reinforces our headship in UAE, an area where we have been associated with all players of Chlor Alkali industry and have delivered projects successfully. The project fortifies our commitment towards building sustainable and profitable assets for our customers worldwide,” Nuberg Engineering Managing Director AK Tyagi said. Nuberg’s project scope encapsulates engineering, procurement services, construction management, inspection and expediting services, site supervision services and commissioning.
