Sialkot Excise seals 18 property dealers’ offices, 192 properties

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has launched a crackdown against tax defaulters, as 27 teams sealed 18 property dealer offices and 192 other properties for not paying the professional tax and property tax.

Sialkot Excise and Taxation Officer Muzaffar Qayyum said that the department has tightened noose around the defaulters in order to recover the taxes. He added that all officials were performing their duties for recovery of professional, property and other taxes from defaulters.

He said that department will not spare any defaulter because government has strictly instructed to make ensure the recovery from defaulter without any confusion. He added that the department will nab defaulters if they remained reluctant to pay the taxes.

He said that the department will recover every single penny in order to strengthen the national economy.
