FBR seeks list of non-filers from RTOs

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed Regional Tax Offices to finalize lists of tax defaulters.

According to details, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all concerned chief commissioners of RTOs in this regard.

Source told Customs Today that after receiving the lists of non-filers, the FBR will remove the names of non-filers from the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) and they will have to pay 0.6 percent withholding tax.

Source said that the FBR authorities are also considering taking measures for non-filers in case they will avoid to clear pending tax dues. The FBR will take strict action against tax defaulters.
