PESHAWAR: The local police have decided to give 24 non-custom paid vehicles, which were seized by the force in different raids, to the Customs officials.
Superintendent of Police (Cantonment) Kashif Zulfiqar, while talking to media, said that they had intercepted a number of non-custom paid cars that were being smuggled from the tribal areas into different parts of the country. In the first phase, 24 vehicles will be handed over to the Customs authorities at the Hayatabad Police Station.
The police authorities have already informed the Federal Board of Revenue through a letter that most of the non-custom paid vehicles were being used in terror activities.
