Gujranwala FIA tracing illegal currency exchangers

SIALKOT: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Gujranwala Deputy Director has formed team to check the record of all currency exchanges in the region in order to trace the exchanges involved in illegal business of hundi, hawala, etc.

However, the teams checked record of various currency exchanges in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal and Hafizabad and warned the owners of stern action if they found involved in any illegal activity.

Meanwhile, FIA Inspector Malik Muhammad Nasir along with his team raided a illegal currency exchange in Wazirabad and arrested owner named Raza whereas confiscated foreign money, including Saudi Riyals, Euros, Ponds, dollars and Pakistani acurrency worth millions of rupees.

FIA has registered a case against the accused and further investigation is under the way.
