MOSCOW: Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Friday its net profit under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) more than doubled, to 403.5 billion roubles ($5.9 billion), in 2015 from 189 billion roubles in 2014.
The net profit under RAS is attributed to the parent company only and not its subsidiaries such as Gazprom Neft or its power business.
Gazprom uses the profit as a base for dividend pay out calculations.
