BANDAR LAMPUNG: Robusta coffee bean exports in March from Indonesia’s main growing area in Sumatra fell 35 percent from a year earlier to 13,082.74 tonnes, government trade data released on Friday showed. The March shipments were up nearly a third, however, from shipments of 9,896.08 tonnes in February, the data showed.
The world’s third-largest robusta producer had shipped 20,046.26 tonnes of robusta from Sumatra in March 2015. Coffee data is released monthly from the Lampung trade office in Sumatra, but figures are often revised as more complete data becomes available.
