Mercedes to develop powerful hot hatch A45 AMG Black Series

NEW YORK: Mercedes is re-sharpening its compact blade and getting ready for war. Currently the most powerful hot hatch A45 Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach (AMG) is on the market. With only 60hp separating it from the Audi S3’s 2-liter turbo and a 370 hp RS3 supposed for next year.

The famous Chief Executive Officer of the AMG division Tobias Moers has recently confirmed to Auto Express magazine that work has start on a more hardcore version of the all wheel drive super A-Class.

The newer version of the car as a street fighter it is not yet clears exactly what that means, nor what the car will be called. Moers says “A Black Series model is a race car, street officially permitted, with two doors. Possibly we are playing around with some ideas. We don’t use the tag Black Series for that car.

The car is likely to characteristic an even more aggressively tuned 2-liter turbo engine, since Mercedes doesn’t have access to any bigger engines that would fit under the bonnet of the A-Class compact.
