Central region duty, taxes collection up 6 pc‏

LAHORE: Customs central region has registered six percent growth by collecting Rs 104831 million all duty and taxes against the financial year target of the last year.

The central region collected Rs 99172 million during the same period last when compared with the collection of Rs 104831 million of current financial year of 2015-16, it showed growth of six percent during the current period. The collection includes federal excise duty, sales tax, withholding tax, customs duty and other taxes.

Collectorate of Customs Appraisemnet collected Rs 54015 million against Rs 39903 million up 13 percent as compared to the same period of last financial year.

The Collectoarte of Preventive collected Rs 22924.78 million during the period under review against Rs 24968 million during the FY 2014-15.

Similarly, the Customs Multan collected Rs 31494 million duty and taxes up 9 percent against Rs 28968 million last financial year during the period under review.

The Faisalabad collectoarte gathered Rs 5396 million during the eight month of FY 2015-16 against Rs 5331.88 million last year during the same period.
