LAHORE: The Punjab Saaf Pani Company (PSPC) is holding a road show in China to invite foreign investments in clean water projects of the province.
In this regard, a delegation of Punjab Saaf Pani Company (PSPC) has left for China under the supervision of Housing Urban Development (HUD) and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Malik Tanveer Aslam.
Other members of the delegation include PSPC Chief Executive Officer Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, Chairman Kashif Padhiar, HUD & PHED Secretary Asim Iqbal and Water and Sanitation Agency Managing Director Syed Samnan Haider.
Pakistan’s counsel general has arranged a road show on behalf of PSPC on April 6 in Beijing where delegation would showcase documentaries and share presentations regarding the investment opportunities in Punjab. The delegation would also hold one-on-one meetings with businessmen and heads of leading international firms in Shanghai while Pakistan’s Ambassador to China has arranged a conference in Beijing to interact with the Chinese investors.
Before the departure, Malik Tanveer Aslam said that the Punjab government, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, has taken special measures to ensure international investment in various development projects.
Besides several sectors, he said the Punjab chief minister has launched a wonderful initiative of providing safe drinking water to the under-served and marginalised segments of the society in rural and peri-urban areas of the province.
For this purpose, the PSPC has been established as a Special Purpose Vehicle to plan, design and execute water supply projects in 144 tehsils of 36 districts of Punjab, he added.
