DIGOS CITY: Police authorities here on Tuesday announced the arrest of another suspected drug pusher and seizure of some P53,000 worth of illegal drugs during a raid in Barangay Zone II.
Chief Insp. Teody Condesa, head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Davao del Sur, said the suspect — Bryan Bentoy, 29 — was arrested following a buy-bust operation here on Monday afternoon.
Condesa said a poseur-buyer was able to secure shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from Bentoy, who was under surveillance for illegal drug activities for quite some time now.
In all, Bentoy yielded 5.9 grams of suspected shabu and other shabu paraphernalia, he said.
“The arrested suspect was booked and charges of violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) are being prepared against him,” Condesa said.
