Customs Court hears 12 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, different cases were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.

The Special Court adjourned the bail plea of Tahir Bharwana, who is allegedly involved in a currency smuggling case.  Tahir Bharwana is on judicial remand after his arrest from Lahore airport with a huge amount of foreign currency.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 12 important cases and adjourned bail pleas of Muhammad Javed Iqbal in a case of smuggling.

Customs court also recorded statements in cases against Mian Nauman, Jahanzaib Sayed and Akmal Raza.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing in Customs Court.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day. The court also proceeded on a case of action against guarantor in narcotics smuggling case.
