FBR recovers Rs 13.4m from Zeeshan Textile Mills

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is using all its resources to generate more revenue from tax defaulters.

Sources informed Customs Today that Zeeshan Textile and Embroidery Mills recently deposited Rs 13.4 million in the FBR’s accounts. Sources said that the company was declared as “defaulter” and the FBR issued them many notices reminding them to clear their outstanding tax dues but they failed to clear any amount in this regard.

Sources said that the last notice was issued on March 27, 2016 in which a warning was given to the company to clear the outstanding tax amount until April 18 otherwise the company will be declared as “blacklist”. After this, the company deposited an amount of Rs 13.4 million in the FBR’s account.
