Kasaur Excise recovers Rs 120m in crackdown against property, token tax defaulters

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department of Kasur has started a crackdown against property tax and token tax defaulters.

According to Excise and Taxation Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam, the department is working with full enthusiasm in all cities. Due to better performance of the department, recoveries are improved during the last few days. He said that the excise have collected Rs 120 million in the wake of token tax and property tax.

During the crackdown, the excise Kasur has seized documents of 300 token tax defaulter vehicles and 200 vehicles were seized in different police stations. These vehicles were mostly unregistered.

District excise established checkpoints in Khudian, Lahore Kasur road, Chunian, Kanganpur and Mandi Usmanwala.

Earlier Secretary Excise has appreciated the performance of Excise department during his visit to Kasur.
