Collector Appraisement West seeks details of top 60 PCTs

KARACHI: Collector, Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement West seeks details of top 60 PCTs with regard to increase and decrease in customs duty, sales tax, withholding tax and their comparison with Customs Appraisement East and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.

The sources told Customs Today that Collector Appraisement West, Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi (look after charge) has instructed the officers to furnish details of top 60 PCTs with increase and decrease in the customs duty, sales tax and withholding tax for the period July-March 2015-16.

Moreover, the details should also contain their comparison with Customs Appraisement East and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim for the period July-March, 2015-16.

“The undersigned has been directed by Collector, Appraisement West to communicate to all assistant, deputy collectors incharge of respective assessment group, section that the monthly presentation pertaining to each group, section shall be held on 09.4.2016 at 9.30 am in the conference room at the Collectorate.

“The format of presentation circulated earlier shall be strictly adhered to which focuses upon the following areas. The slides containing information on revenue target CD, ST, FED & WHT vs revenue collection CD, ST, FED & WHT during the period July to March 2014-15 vis a vis July to March 2015-16”, the letter said.
