Dastgir inaugurates int’l textile exhibition Texpo 2016

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan has inaugurated the country’s first international textile exhibition Texpo 2016 at Expo Centre.

Sri Lankan Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen also participated in inauguration ceremony of the 4-day textile exhibition, which has been organised by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

Texpo 2016 is a specialised initiative on part of TDAP for the promotion of business opportunities for the most significant and potent sector of Pakistan – the textile industry. Overall 230 major companies, who are the leading exporters of Pakistan, have setup 320 stalls in 4 exhibition halls and over 450 foreign buyers/ importers from around 60 countries are visiting Texpo 2016.

After the inauguration, Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan, along with Secretary Commerce Azmat Ali Ranjha, TDAP CEO SM Muneer, and Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha held high profile meetings with the delegations from France, China, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Netherlands, Vietnam, Spain and Germany.
