Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan issues ONO in favour of ASO Sargodha

FAISALABAD:  Customs adjudication Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan has issued ONO in favor of the Anti- Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sargodha.

Sources informed Customs Today that the ASO intercepted a foreign origin Hino truck bearing registration No. TKA- 313 (Jaffarabad) model 2000. The ASO team asked the driver, who was identified as Muhammad Sajid son of Sher Shah, to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the truck but he failed to provide any relevant documents.

The ASO team seized the vehicle and sent its parts to Forensic Science Laboratory. In the light of facts, it was revealed that vehicles was smuggled and its chassis number AK3HRK-12868 was manually punched.

Sources said that Muhammad Safdar Ali (inspector) appeared from the petitioners side and asserted that the seized vehicles fell under the ambit of section 2(s) of the Custom Act 1969. Sarfraz Khan Baloch apperared from the respondent’s and had nothing to defend against the allegation.

Therefore, Custom Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam Ramzan issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in favour of the ASO Sargodha.
