Electronic I-Form will help develop transparent process of import

SIALKOT: Directorate of Reforms and Automation Additional Director Adul Hayee said that the Electronic I-Form will end the forgery and other multiplying activities from the import sector whereas the transparent process of import will start after launching of Electronic I-Form.

He was sharing his views at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) where a day-long awareness raising training/ advocacy session on “Rollout of I-Form (EIF) Module under WeBOC was organised by SCCI and Reforms and Automation jointly.

The WeBOC experts highlighted the importance of I-Form Module and asked the importers and exporters to adopt this advanced module under the WeBOC System as well

The speakers including State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Director Fazal Mehmood, SCCI Vice President Syed Ihtisham Gillani, and Sialkot Customs Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary presented their view about the I-Form

Fazal Mehmood said that Electronic I-Form will promote paperless economy and provide facilities to the businessmen who are playing laudable role for economic uplift of the country. He said that the I-Form will save precious time of importers and they would be able to do their work in minimum time.

SCCI SVP Syed Ihtisham said that the purpose of the orientation session is to educate the representative of the private sector about Electronic I-Form Module, which is going to be launched shortly by the Directorate of Reforms and Automation (PRAL). It is the need of the hour to make full use of information technology, as it not only ensured transparency but also guaranteed process simplification and efficiency enhancement for all the stakeholders, he said.
