Multan RTO surpasses Rs 8.21b target for March

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has surpassed the revenue target set for outgoing month, March, as it collected Rs 8.28 billion against the target of Rs 8.21 billion.

On the other hand, the Multan RTO collected Rs 58.44 billion during first nine moths (July-March) of fiscal year 2015-16. It had been assigned Rs 59.45 billion target for nine months that has been achieved almost up to 98 percent. However, the revenue collection went up by 30 percent over the same period of the fiscal year 2014-15.

Under the head of federal excise duty (FED), the Multan RTO collected Rs 480 million against the target of Rs 1.48 billion during July to March, 2016.
