Nasir Khan likely to be given look after charge of Chairman Customs Appellate Tribunal

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench-I Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Khan, is likely to be given charge of heading the tribunal in the absence of a new chairman.

Tribunal’s officials said, Islamabad based Member Technical Muhammad Nasir Khan was among candidates who could be given the charge of the office to head all regional offices and oversee the tribunal’s affairs.

They also mentioned that a couple of judicial members from Lahore and Karachi office were also being considered for the post, however, Nasir Khan could be the choice if the decision was made on performance.

He has been deciding the matters timely, they said adding that members from other regions were also competent and in good books.

Tribunal’s chairman slot had become vacant last days as Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti had completed his two years’ tenure at tribunal.
