KARACHI: The Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court Faiz Rasool Rashdi has directed the investigation officer to complete the investigation and submit a final challan in the case of Afghan Transit scam.
On Monday’s hearing, Investigation Officer Akbar Ahmed filed an interim challan before the court with the request that final outcome of the ongoing investigation will be furnished in the court in the shape of a final report/ challan.

According to the interim challan, on information regarding massive pilferage in the imports of Afghan Transit Cargo (said to be) NATO/ISAF force in Afghanistan, a team of Customs collectorate (Preventive) Customs raided a private yard of M/s Bilal Associates at Trans Lyari Hawks Bay on December 9, 2015.
According to the interim challan, during the raid 26 containers were found cut into the pieces and 16 bottom of the containers were also found lying abundantly there, two heavy power generators were also found lying on flat containers in the yard. The personal laptop was also recovered from the office and and FIR was registered on the direction of the authority concerned.
The court was informed that mangers of M/s Bilal Associates Shahid Ansari, Waseem Ahmed, Bilal Shahid and Director Ali Shahid are on bails, however director Javed Iqbal is still at large.
