ASO seizes BOPP film worth Rs 5m imported under ATT

LAHORE: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized BOPP film worth Rs 5 million from Royal Park. The film was imported under Afghan Transit Trade agreement.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs ASO team, on secret information, raided a godown situated in  Ghousia Building No 7, Royal Park and seized a huge quantity of BOPP film. The illegally imported film was seized by customs ASO team led by Superintendent Munawar Khan.

The sources said that the illegally imported film was smuggled by BOPP film owner Raja Tariq and Muhammad Nasir.  It was informed that customs authorities after registering a case has started investigations.
