LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is going to adopt a new strategy to register new units for enhancement of revenue.
Sources informed Customs Today that many small and medium enterprises are already established in surrounding areas of Lahore such as Band Road, Shahdara and Kot Lakhpat. Sources said that these units are not registered with RTOs and are not paying taxes.
Sources said that All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) already forwarded a list to the FBR of those industrial units which are functioning in these areas. The FBR will take stern action against those industrial units which are not paying taxes, ignoring all the notices in this regard.
