Customs intelligence seizes huge quantity of non-customs paid goods

LAHORE: A newly constituted team of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized non-customs paid items worth millions of rupees and arrested the suspects involved in smuggling.

Official sources told Customs Today that on the information of director Saud Imran Ahmad, the directorate anti-smuggling team intercepted a truck loaded with smuggled goods, including heavy bikes and tyres, welding rods, cloth and soap.

The sources said that the goods were being smuggled in the grab of scrap. It was added that the driver of the truck, who was identified as Aqil Khan, was unaware of the smuggled goods which were loaded in his truck.

The operation was led by Scustoms Intelligence Malik Yasin who has recently joined the Customs intelligence with his team.

In a massage, director Customs intelligence Saud Imran Ahmad congratulated the newly made anti-smuggling team of the directorate of Customs intelligence Lahore for the successful seizure.
