Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issues ONO in favour of ASO Sara-e-Muhajir‏

FAISALABAD: Customs adjudication Asma Hameed has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in favour of Anti-Smuggling Organization Sara-e-Muhajir.

According to details, a team of the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) intercepted a truck bearing registration no TLH- 255 near Sara-e-Muhajir chowk. The truck was loaded with 152 cartons of foreign origin vacuum flasks in different brands.

The Customs team arrested the driver of the truck who was identified as Imran Khan, son of Mahar Khan, who is a resident of Sukhan Dokhan Talagang district Chakwal. The Customs official said that confiscated flasks were smuggled without payment of customs duty and taxes.

On the other hand, Muhammad Munir Ahmad (inspector) was appeared from the petitioner side and no one was appeared from the respondent side. The case decided on the basis of the facts and material available. After hearing the case deputy collector Asma Hameed issued ONO in favor of ASO Sara-e-Muhajir under section 156(1)89 of the customs act 1969.
